On the northern flank of the town of Montalb\u00e1n there is a track in good condition that leads to the area of Cantalobos, an interesting area of great ethnological value. There we will find a high density of constructions made with the dry stone technique. Most of them are huts used as dwellings by the shepherds who came to the area with their flocks. Farmers and reapers also spent the hard harvest season in these places, together with their families, using these huts for lodging.<\/p>\n
All these constructions were recovered and restored with a project led by the City Council of Montalb\u00e1n with the collaboration of the Cultural Park of the Mart\u00edn River, through an employment workshop within the European program Culture 2000 “Parcours de pierres” that allowed the preservation and conservation of this space whose technique or art of construction in dry stone was declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2018.<\/p>\n
We can approach by car to the place, where there is an esplanade enabled as a parking lot, also with access from the crta.
