La queue du r\u00e9servoir de Cueva Foradada se distingue \u00e0 cet \u00e9gard, o\u00f9 la for\u00eat de tamaris offre protection et abri pour la reproduction d&rsquo;esp\u00e8ces aquatiques, dont le gr\u00e8be hupp\u00e9<em>(Podiceps cristatus<\/em>). Le canard colvert<em>(Anas platyrhynchos<\/em>), le canard souchet<em>(Anas clypeata<\/em>), la sarcelle<em>(Anas crecca<\/em>) et le canard siffleur<em>(Anas querquedula<\/em>), le canard chipeau (Anas<em>strepera<\/em>) sont \u00e9galement communs, parmi d&rsquo;autres esp\u00e8ces de canards qui utilisent cette zone humide du r\u00e9servoir lors de leurs passages migratoires ou comme lieu d&rsquo;hivernage. Il faut \u00e9galement noter la pr\u00e9sence occasionnelle de la cigogne noire<em>(Ciconia nigra<\/em>) et du balbuzard p\u00eacheur<em>(Pandion halieatus<\/em>), et plus couramment du h\u00e9ron qui parcourt le cours de la rivi\u00e8re Mart\u00edn \u00e0 la recherche de nourriture. Cependant, il faut souligner que ce r\u00e9servoir est un site d&rsquo;hivernage important pour le grand cormoran<em>(Phalacroc\u00f3rax carbo<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Les for\u00eats de pins abritent une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 d&rsquo;esp\u00e8ces. De nombreux petits oiseaux attir\u00e9s par les insectes tels que les m\u00e9sanges charbonni\u00e8res, les m\u00e9sanges bleues et d&rsquo;autres oiseaux de proie, qui attirent \u00e0 leur tour les oiseaux de proie des for\u00eats tels que les autour et les \u00e9perviers. Parmi les grands mammif\u00e8res, on trouve le sanglier<em>(Sus scrofa<\/em>) qui parcourt de vastes zones, le bouquetin<em>(Capra pyrenaica<\/em>) et le chevreuil<em>(Capreolus capreolus<\/em>) en cours d&rsquo;expansion. Dans le corridor de v\u00e9g\u00e9tation autour de la rivi\u00e8re et des ravins, nous avons trouv\u00e9 des renards, des blaireaux, des martres, des genettes et, dans une moindre mesure, le chat sauvage<em>(Felis sylvestris<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Le reste de la r\u00e9gion peut \u00eatre d\u00e9crit comme semi-steppique, dans une zone vallonn\u00e9e entre collines et ravins, avec un maquis abondant o\u00f9 pr\u00e9dominent le romarin et les ajoncs, o\u00f9 abondent des esp\u00e8ces de grand int\u00e9r\u00eat cyn\u00e9g\u00e9tique comme les perdrix, les lapins et les li\u00e8vres, et de petits oiseaux adapt\u00e9s \u00e0 ce type d&rsquo;habitat tr\u00e8s aride comme les cogujadas et les collalbas, entre autres.
