This small trail conditioned by the Comarca Andorra-Sierra de Arcos and the City Council of Ariño, begins in the parking lot of the bridge of the Escuriza river in Ariño, in front of the dinosaur ichnites. Take the road to the mines, which passes by the Interpretation Center of Rock Art and the Dinópolis Valcaria sub-site. Crossing the village on the eastern slope, a path between corrals and threshing floors leads to a path that skirts the Arcos mountain range, allowing us to observe the mining area and the crater opened in the cut to extract the lignite. The views are impressive due to the unusual landscape that can be contemplated.
As the trail approaches the ridge the PR forks. To the left, on the north side of the ridge, it enters the Francisca ravine where it climbs up to the sierra. To the right, on the south side of the ridge, continue towards the Plano de la Balsa, located almost at the top of the mountain, where you take a trail to the left. Upon reaching a small pine reforestation, at the top of the mountain range, the two branches of the PR converge again.
The unified route passes a corral in ruins, leaves a detour on the right and advances a little further along the mountainside until it leads to a natural viewpoint (altitude 800 m) on the escarpment of the mountain range. From here the views towards the Bajo Martín are very extensive, reaching the lands of the Ebro.
