Within the Plan of the Cultural Park of the Martín River and under the sponsorship of Patrimonio del Gobierno de Aragón and the Ariño City Council, maintenance and conservation works are being carried out on the Peña Negra fossil tree, which is more than 6 meters long as far as it is observable. Also with the help of the Comarca de Andorra-Sierra de Arcos, work is being carried out on the accesses to adapt them for future visits and drainage, trying to prevent water runoff from directly affecting the fossilized remains.
